Reclaiming the Mirror

Summary: Reclaiming the Mirror by Ruben Camp White

I’ve come to a heavy but healing realization: my reality is a reflection of my deepest beliefs. For too long, the echoes of history and the whispers of oppressors have tried to build a prison inside my mind, telling me I wasn’t enough. I’m learning that while physical chains can be broken, the real work is dismantling the "I can't" and "I ain't worthy" bricks I’ve used to wall myself in.

Through therapy and intentional reflection, I’m identifying the core truths of my journey:

• Healing is Generational Work: Trauma seeps into the bones, but belief is a seed. I’m choosing to plant possibility where there used to be graveyards.

• True Freedom is Internal: It’s not just about changing laws; it’s about reclaiming the territory of my own mind. I refuse to carry a verdict written by people who never knew my heart.

• Daily Practice: I am actively speaking my worth into existence until my soul catches up with my mouth. I see what God sees now—not what history tried to dictate.

I’m choosing to believe in my purpose and my capacity to rise. As I shift my internal narrative, I’m watching the universe start to rearrange itself to match my new truth. I am no longer what they said I was; I am who I decide to be.
