The Architecture of the Ache
Poetry: Literary Liberation: The Architecture of the Ache by Ruben Camp White
The voice is a guest.
The mind is the host.
A word falls
the breath cools
but the stone remembers.
We are not haunted by the shout.
We are haunted by the shape
of our own silence.
The canyon does not just listen;
it builds a home for the ghost.
To heal:
Stop carving the walls.
Let the air be wide.
The open sky has no echo.
