The Sweetest Deceit: A Sassy Serenade: Audiobook: even salt look like sugar

The Sweetest Deceit: A Sassy Serenade

by Ruben White

In the bustling bazaar of grins and charades,

Where whispers are currency, and truth often fades,

We strut like fine peacocks, all feathers and flair,

But honey, underneath? A hot mess laid bare.

Don't trust what you see, even salt looks like sugar.

Oh, the jesters parade, with their charming deceit,

Their words like confetti—oh, isn’t that neat?

“Trust me,” they purr, with a wink and a grin,

But darling, let’s face it, that’s where trouble begins.

Don't trust what you see, even salt looks like sugar.

Like sugar on grits, they sweeten the pot,

With syrupy nonsense, oh, aren’t they so hot?

But dig a bit deeper, and what do you find?

Just a heap of old lies, all tangled and blind.

Don't trust what you see, even salt looks like sugar.

They serve up their tales on a silver-plated tray,

With a side of sweet nothings, come join in the play.

“Join us,” they chirp, “the world’s full of cheer!”

But behind all that laughter, there’s something to fear.

Don't trust what you see, even salt looks like sugar.

So let’s raise a glass to these players so bold,

With their painted-on smiles and their stories retold.

For life’s a grand stage, let’s give them a show,

And in the sass of the truth, we’ll steal the whole show!

Don't trust what you see, even salt looks like sugar.
