Sympathy Poem: Heavenly Angel: Mental Health Awareness and Coping with Death: Video

Heavenly Angel by Ruben White

The dream came to me, a vision of such beauty it stole my breath. White roses, more gorgeous than any I'd ever seen, bloomed in a light so pure, it seemed heaven itself shone upon them. Angels, guardians of that light, watched over them, beyond the world I knew. The stars were diamonds scattered across the midnight sky, and the moon, a clear, peaceful stone. There was laughter, not a single tear, a tranquility that settled deep within my soul.

I saw those white roses, countless, beyond the pearly gates, shining a light on destinies I couldn't fully grasp. I heard the call, "Sing ye angel," and knew it was for them, for the ones I'd lost. "Sing ye angel, for you are among kings." A celebration, not a lament. "Sing ye angel, for the gift of life. Sing ye angel, for there's no more strife." It wasn't an ending, but a new beginning, a "new birth." The sound of harps and horns filled the air, a symphony of freedom.

"Sing ye angel, for you are free." And then, the powerful image, "Spread your wings for the world to see." It wasn't about them being gone, but about the enduring beauty of their lives, the love they shared, still radiating, still impacting my world. Even in my grief, I felt a flicker of hope, a sense of peace. I knew, somehow, they were at peace, and their light, their love, would continue to guide me.
