Soaring Beyond Shadows: A Call to Awakening by Ruben White 

You may inscribe my name in the annals of despair,  

With your twisted tales of what’s fair,  

You may bury me in the depths of your schemes,  

But still, like a phoenix, I’ll soar through your dreams.  

Does my audacity unsettle your throne?  

Why does your heart wear a cloak of stone?  

'Cause I stride like a tempest, fierce and bold,  

With the riches of resilience that cannot be sold.  

Just like stars that ignite the night sky,  

With the certainty of dawn, I will fly high,  

Just like rivers that carve through the stone,  

Still, I’ll soar, for I am not alone.  

Did you wish to see me falter and fade?  

With a bowed head in the shadows you’ve made?  

Shoulders drooping like wilted blooms,  

Weakened by the weight of your looming glooms?  

Does my confidence chafe at your pride?  

Don’t you find it hard to abide?
